NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton lead the nominations for the Academy of Country Music Awards.
The academy announced the nominees for its April 18 awards show, which will air on CBS from Nashville, Tennessee.
Stapleton is also on the all-male ballot for entertainer of the year. Women were left out of the top category, which also included nominees Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Eric Church and Luke Combs.
Morris is nominated for female artist of the year and her crossover hit “The Bones” earned her nominations for single and song of the year.
Stapleton was nominated as artist and producer for album of the year for his record “Starting Over.”
