22 weeks after COVID-19 vaccinations began, 2 out of 3 Tennesseans are still not fully vaccinated

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  The number of Tennessee’s completing their COVID-19 vaccinations dropped sharply during the past month.

Nearly 110,000 state residents received their final dose during a seven day period one month ago. But over the week just over 35,000 completed vaccinations. That’s a drop of 67 percent in just 30 days.

As of Thursday, state health officials reported just one out of every three Tennessee residents is fully vaccinated against the virus. Compare that to Vermont where 56 percent of all state residents have completed vaccination
