MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- If you’re looking for a Martine Luther King, Jr. Day event to participate in a commemorative presentation at Middle Tennessee State University is open to the public.
Students at MTSU have the day off for the national holiday, but Director for Intercultural and Diversity Affairs Jonell Hinsey says tonight’s program is an all student affair.
“I think it’s a great opportunity to have our students voice how they have been impacted and how they are carrying on the service and all of the things that MLK stood for. We’ll have videos, we’ll have dance presentations, music presentations, a tribute to Correta Scott King, so we’ll definitely have an awesome time.
The MTSU MLK Day event begins at 6 p.m. Monday evening and will be held in the KUC Theatre.
