COVID-19 cases 'stabilize,' Williamson Med. Center to resume elective surgeries

williamsonmedicalcenter.org/

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  Williamson Medical Center in Franklin said Tuesday it’s ready to resume elective surgeries that require an overnight hospital stay.

The hospital canceled all elective procedures one month ago to make room for a surge in the number of COVID-19 patients being admitted to the facility.

The hospital said the number of new infections has now stabilized. Elective surgeries will begin again this coming Monday.

The hospital said it’s “crucial that patients not delay routine or urgent medical care.”
