cdc.gov

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) — Tennessee has recorded another new all-time record high for COVID-19 related deaths and all but one of the Great Nashville counties have notched new highs for confirmed infections.

State health officials on Tuesday reported 89 deaths statewide over the previous 24 hours. It’s the third time in less than a month that Tennessee has marked new records for COVID-19 fatalities.

In addition, Cheatham, Sumner, Rutherford, Robertson, Williamson and Wilson counties have all this week exceeded the seven day average case counts highs reached during the previous surge this past summer. Only Davidson County has so far managed to stay under the highs recorded in July.
