NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- Tennessee’s COVID-19 vaccination program got knocked off track by last week’s winter storms.
In spite of the snow and ice an average of roughly 10,000 residents a day did manage to get vaccinated during the week that ended Saturday.
However, that’s the lowest number of inoculations recorded since the first week shots were administered back in mid-December.
In the week before the storms hit, most days saw in excess of 20,000 doses given each day.
Some 1.1 million Tennesseans have now received their first shot, more than 366,000 are fully immunized.
