NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  The White House Coronavirus Task Force has taken Tennessee off of its list of states with the nation’s worst virus outbreaks.

The White House “red” list has not been made public, but reporters with Public Integrityobtained a recording of this week’s call between task force chair Dr. Deborah Birx and state leaders.

Dr. Birx reportedly does still have Tennessee on her list of states with caseloads high enough to be “concerning.”

As of Wednesday, Tennessee’s running average of new infections had dropped a thousand cases from the previous week’s high of 2500 new infections.
