Nashville man charged in Murfreesboro murder case
MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WMOT) -- Murfreesboro Police have made an arrest in the early February shooting death of Tijuandre Garrett.
In a statement released overnight, the MPD says 23-year-old Juan Carlos Carachure was arrested early yesterday morning in Nashville on charges of First Degree Murder and Aggravated Robbery.
Murfreesboro Police were called to a home on Eagle Street just before sunrise back on February 7, 2016. They discovered Garrett with a single gunshot to the upper torso. He was rushed the to St. Thomas Rutherford ER, but died shortly after arriving there.
The Nashville SWAT team was called in to raid Carachure’s home and take him into custody. He’s being held in the Rutherford County Jail on a $30,000 bond.
A second man was also arrested during that SWAT raid. Twenty-five-year-old Justin Woodard of Nashville was arrested on a charge of Criminal Conspiracy.
