MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (Mike Osborne)  --  A new nationwide survey by Vanderbilt Child Health suggests the battle against coronavirus is impacting communities well beyond those who contract COVID-19.

The survey found that 39 percent of parents with children five years and under have lost child care.

The number of families needing food aid jumped three points to 36 percent.

One family in three reported canceling or delaying doctor visits for their children.

A significant number of parents also indicated that their children are exhibiting growing behavioral problems, and that their own mental health has suffered.
