Tenn. governor accuses the Biden Admin. of failing to be 'transparent' about migrant children

White House

(Mike Osborne)  --  Gov. Bill Lee fired off a letter to Washington D.C. on Thursday, requesting Senate hearings concerning what he calls “the current border crisis.”

The governor also wants those hearings to “address the Biden Administration’s failure to provide notice and transparency in their movements of unaccompanied migrant children into states.”

Last month, news outlets revealed the federal government is routinely flying children detained crossing the nation’s southern border into Chattanooga, and several other cities around the country, late at night. From there the children are delivered to relatives and foster sponsors all across the Southeast to await immigration hearings.

Federal officials note the flights have been ongoing for years, including during the Obama and Trump Administrations.
