NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Mike Osborne) -- Nashville is racing the clock to get hundreds of homes and businesses damaged in last week’s tornado properly protected ahead of this week’s rains.

Today will be the last dry day we see all week.

Nashville Weather Service Meteorologist Faith Borden says scattered showers will move in late today.

“The good news is that when it rains we’ll probably see maybe up to a half inch at a time, so we’re not looking at flooding rain. There will be possibly a few thunderstorms during the afternoon hours during the week.”

If you need tarps or other supplies to get your home or business properly sealed up ahead of the rains, dial city information services at 311 for help.
